VIDEOGAME DISCOURSE AS A MULTIMODAL ENTITY

This article seeks to review contemporary approaches researching videogame discourse, such as analyzing it internet electronic or multimodal discourse. It also aims define “videogame discourse”, distinguish the terms used describe in order avoid terminological confusion (between “computer game “internet etc.) and justify most suitable approach studying in-game text. The literature overview has shown that term discourse” is fitting commonly out of abovementioned terms. While discourse defined a multilevel entity encompasses several levels based on senders receivers message (game developers, gamers, journalists, etc.), this paper focuses primarily text programmed by developers. As video games are multimedia products, their from perspective appears be prevailing approach.
